What Tarot Card Are You?

You are The Hermit

Prudence, Caution, Deliberation.

The Hermit points to all things hidden, such as knowledge and inspiration, hidden enemies. The illumination is from within, and retirement from participation in current events.

The Hermit is a card of introspection, analysis and, well, virginity. You do not desire to socialize; the card indicates, instead, a desire for peace and solitude. You prefer to take the time to think, organize, ruminate, take stock. There may be feelings of frustration and discontent but these feelings eventually lead to enlightenment, illumination, clarity.

The Hermit represents a wise, inspirational person, friend, teacher, therapist. This a person who can shine a light on things that were previously mysterious and confusing.

Barton Solvent fire in Des Moines, IA

This was a short video I took using my cell phone. Barton Solvents had a massive fire on October 29, 2007. At that time I was working about a mile south of their location. The fire broke out before noon, or so. This was shot around 3:30 that afternoon. The fire wasn't extinguished until 8 pm that night. Miraculously no one was killed or seriously injured when the fire started.

The Huckabee Hustle

I found this article at The American Thinker, written by Selwin Duke. I find the comparison between Mike Huckabee and Jimmy Carter startling and right on target. I was a Huckabee supporter until I started to hear and read things about his position on illegal immigration.

Now I find myself looking for another candidate to support. As some one else has said previously, I wish we could take all the parts we like about a candidate and put them into one person. I like certain things about 3 or 4 different people. I guess I'll have to look and see which one has the most I like and the least I don't like. I think for right now it's Tom Tancredo, but I worry as to how electable he is. I like Guiliani on immigration but worry about his abortion views and his gun control policies as mayor of New York.

We need a social conservative as much as we need a political conservative. I hope we can find and elect one.
